How far they deliver
Drones fly from a store, hub or dock and reach homes within a few miles of it. Typical ranges, as the operators describe them:
- Wing: about six miles from participating Walmart stores (TechCrunch, Aug 24, 2023)
Whether an address is covered depends on where the operator's sites are. Check the operator's app before ordering.
How to order and what to expect
- As of October 2026, Wing's service page lists Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston and Orlando as "Now serving" and its other Walmart metros as "Coming soon", without dates. (Wing, checked Oct 23, 2026)
- Wing orders are placed through partner apps such as Walmart and DoorDash, or through Wing's own marketplace app. (Wing, checked Oct 23, 2026)
- Customers choose 'drone' at checkout; if the app finds the address and items eligible, it asks them to pick a delivery spot such as a driveway or backyard. (Wing, checked Oct 23, 2026)

- Wing says its drones are built for a wide range of weather including wind and moderate rain, but orders can fail because of weather. (Wing, checked Oct 23, 2026)
